Froyo Apps to SD card

With Froyo(Android 2.2) comes the ability to store apps on your phone’s SD card. Today MyCar Locator and AutoMate each received updates to enable this feature(Market link below). Storing an app on your SD card is easy, and it makes more room on your phones internal storage.
To move an app to your phone’s SD card simply:

  • Make sure you are at your Home screen
  • Press Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage Applications
  • Choose the app you would like to move to the SD card (note: this feature must be enabled by the app developer)
  • Select “Move to SD card”
  • You’re done!

Now, this is only for those lucky few currently running Froyo(2.2), and is not applicable to phones running Android 2.1 or lower.

Thanks, and enjoy!
